Former San Diego mayor and convicted felon Bob Filner has cast his vote for mayor in the special mayoral election.

A screenshot of Filner's voter registration information shows he was sent a ballot on Oct. 18, 2013, and returned it on Oct. 29, 2013. The San Diego County Registrar of Voters confirmed this information.

On Oct. 15, 2013, Filner pleaded guilty to falsely imprisoning a woman while serving as mayor -- a felony -- and two misdemeanor charges.

After that court appearance, Filners lawyer, Jerry Coughlan, addressed the media and was asked if Filner would lose his right to vote.

"Yes, for a period," Coughlan said. "A period of probation is my understanding."

Filners plea agreement involves three years probation, three months house arrest, a felony conviction and a ban on his ability to run for public office in the future.
