'Deltacron' identified as new COVID variant

there is no reason to think this will pose a danger to vaccines.

when did we update our vaxxes from the original alpha? Oh that's right we NEVER DID

so dont look to those for much help if it does become more virulent.
But acquired immunity should take care of it if one is in good health
even as the mutations distance from the vaxx

The vaccine has kept working well. Even you admit it.

My guess is we have temporary herd immunity right now. It will fade, and a wave will his Florida this summer. An additional wave will hit the rest of the country around December or January. Right now, seems fairly clear for a few months.

The new variant will wait. One thing about viruses, they are good at out waiting us.
The way Omicron swept through the population it has probably brought us to herd immunity.

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't claiming to have discovered a new variant here in the USA be more effective? :dunno:
