Defense Of Marriage Act Ruled Unconstitutional By Second Federal Judge

Where in the constitution does it say that?

I value the rights of others within the limits of U.S. Law. Can you say the same?

No, I said the Bible is not a religion, and the laws reflect Christian values found in the Bible.

The laws reflect values found in most cultures throughout history and the world.

As for valuing the rights of others within the law, there are times when the laws are wrong. This is one of those times. I value your rights also. But making gay marriage legal will not effect your rights at all.

Sounds pretty good to me, but why is there no reference to God in your explanation?

There is no need. God is love. The love of which I speak is (not in any particular order) the love between my wife and I, love for our family, love of God, love of our friends and the love we have for our dogs.

I wasn't aware that God commanded us to engage in any rites of cleaning. Is that found in the Bible?

In post #337, I asked you "Why do you think a church is better?" Not going to answer?

It depends on which deity you believe in. The God of the Bible did not, to my knowledge, command us to engage in any rites of cleansing. But there are numerous religions, some of which do have rites of cleansing.

The laws reflect values found in most cultures throughout history and the world.??????????????...........Wrong !

US law is unique to Judeo/Christian culture....but not absolutely in line with the religions belief of either

What? Written laws predate the 10 commandments by a good margin. There are laws in most culture against theif, murder, ect ect.

Apparently you have never opened a book and read the writings of Jefferson, Paine, and the other Founding Fathers, they wanted their new country to be unlike England where there was a state religion.

You do not value others rights, you are trying to make your religious values into law.

Go back and read your comments, you contradict yourself, but you will once again fail to see it.

No it isn't. That is purely your opinion.

So God is not an actual being? Or is it just easier for you to wrap your mind around an emotion rather than the concept of an actual celestial being?

The Bible contradicts itself on the nature of God, one passage says god is spirit, others give god human characterisitics.

There is no contradiction, except in your head. Your understanding of the Bible is too single dimensional, Rana. Try reading tea leaves. That may be more your speed.

Paganism is too fringe to be valid. It's their choice, but it's not valid. Not really.

There are enough of them that the US Military includes it in the training for their chaplains.

I notice you haven't answered my question, despite having all your questions answered. Should I expect to wait a week for any answers?
