Deep Green Freeze

lubricating oil vs gasoline---------apples and oranges

yes, the can be deiced. using petroleum products. it takes a lot of heat to make solar panels. Heat produced by burning hydrocarbons. batteries? check into where the lithium comes from. strip mining using child labor in Africa.

the green movement ignores reality.
Liar.
Only 2 % of lithium is mined in Africa and doesn't require strip mining.

You're the one who brought them up.

Any time I've sat on a plane and saw another plane being de-iced they always use water, not oil.

Whataboutism isn't going to erase the massive failures of the fossil fuel industry in Texas.

What "reality" are you talking about here?

de-icing with water????? think about how stupid that is. its below freezing and you think they spray water on the planes????? are you conscious?

I brought up the amount of oil required to lubricate each wind mill. you tried to equate it to gas for your car. you lose again

Reality?? the reality that alternate fuels cannot come close to closing the gap to keep the economy running without hydrocarbons.

yes some of it comes from China, and yes China uses child labor. it may not literally be strip mining but it leaves a large barren hole in the ground.

How many MAGA hat did you buy, Maggot? They were all made in China by slaves.

They spray a mixture of water and glycol...glycol is alcohol-based (hence the "col"), not petroleum based.

You know, a simple Google search would have revealed this information to you.

No, you spat out a number and didn't provide any context for that number, and the number itself was quite the large range 10 - 60(!). So that's a pretty huge difference/

And also, we're not saying that wind power would replace petroleum, we're saying it would replace coal and natural gas.

So you're doing that shitty thing Conservatives always do, shift the goalposts and erect straw men to argue so you don't have to admit you're full of shit.

You're just not a person who has integrity or who can be trusted.

Important to note the straw man you are erecting here.

You're trying to shift the focus off natural gas and coal, which were the major culprits for the failure that is Texas, by pretending that petroleum is to be replaced with renewables when that isn't what anyone has said.

What we've said is that renewables can replace coal and natural gas, and the energy generated from those renewable sources can power electric vehicles, which would reduce our dependence on oil and petroleum.

A totally rational and reasonable thing to propose, but something you decided and chose to twist and distort for the sole purpose of your ego.

So what you are doing on this thread is employing sophistry, and I take the exercising of sophistry as a personal insult because it is nothing more than contempt for the truth, and contempt for other people.

So if you hold that much contempt for me, I'm going to tell you to fuck right off and go suck your thumb if you're going to be a pathetic little egomaniac.

LOL, earlier you said they strayed water on them, I gave you two cites to prove your ignorance.

so tell us how, if the current grid cannot even supply power when the temps drop, are you going to recharge 100 million electric cars, trucks, and trains?

So this is you moving the goalposts.

Is that why you had to create this new ID last month? Because you kept saying stupid things, kept getting called out for it, and just couldn't take it anymore?
