No, Bush couldn't have created the vacuum in the Middle East because the vacuum didn't exist until he left office. Bush was president, not a time traveling wizard.

There are a lot of delusional people in the world. But no one is more delusional than a Bush homer & Iraq War cheerleader.

I think it's because the reality of what happened - and their unwavering support for all of it - is too hard to handle, given all of the death & suffering that it has caused. They just invent an alternate reality where their hands seem clean.

It’s no secret that CNN and pretty much the entire American media, save Fox News, is sold out for Hillary Clinton.

CNN plainly admitted it....no sane person can even begin to deny it...yet liberals can and do, with a straight face....

So no - you guys don't get to lecture us on foreign policy, or what was "instrumental" in the rise of ISIS. You have been woefully wrong about pretty much everything, and enthusiastically supported measures that got many people killed and created massive instability.

Hillary says Trump is a recruiter for ISIS, I see that stupid remark for what it is, sarcasm....but liberals actually believe it as a serious claim....and even
more freakin' ridiculous, the media runs with that version reinforcing it....

I was 100% against the war in 2003 and Bush deserved to be blamed for that, however to attempt to exonerate Obama is just pure partisan politics.

Indeed there were, even though ISIS didn't exist under Bush.

But the one seminal *thing* that allowed ISIS take over Iraq was the failure of the Obama administration to secure a Status of Forces Agreement with the Iraqis. THAT created the vacuum.

Bush signed the original agreement which contained the 2011 pull out date---when the residual US forces would pull out of Iraq. But 2011 was three years away at the time of the signing. And the clear intent of the Bush administration was that a future agreement would be negotiated if facts on the ground warranted it [like say, ISIS taking Fallujah].

Here is Obama's own Sec Def:

Panetta said the Obama White House did not press hard enough to reach a deal — a point that Bush makes in his speech. Panetta wrote that the U.S. “had leverage” and could have “threatened to withdraw reconstruction aid” if Iraq didn’t agree to “some sort of continued U.S. military presence.”

Basically, Obama put his own political considerations ahead of national security: he promised a total withdrawal from Iraq so he didn't take advantage of our leverage vs the Iraqis to secure more forces in Iraq.

Things quickly deteriorated, and the rest is ISIS history. Hence, Obama 'the founder of ISIS[*rhetorical device alert*] lol.
