Gasoline is not "explosive." It is flammable, but so is lithium (it's even more flammable) and the average Tesla has 12 pounds of it in the battery.
The higher each number is, the more dangerous the chemical or substance involved is. Lithium is far more dangerous than gasoline.

US EV Sales Hit New Record, And People Are Buying More Than Just Teslas
EVs are gaining in popularity in the US, thanks in part to more affordable vehicles.
Electric vehicles made up 7.1% of car sales in January 2023, a jump from 4.3% during the same time period last year, InsideEVs reports. Total car sales, gas and electric, remained on-par with the past two years, meaning EVs are a standout growth area in the automotive industry.
Out of the 87,708 battery-powered registrations, 57% were Teslas and 43% were from non-Tesla brands, such as Chevrolet, Ford, and Volkswagen.

Tesla has undoubtedly become a leader in the EV market over the past decade or more. The Tesla Model 3 was a big game changer for the company as it brought about massive growth worldwide for the American automaker.
The Model Y continues that spark of growth in Tesla to this day. In Q1 2023, Tesla produced 440,808 battery electric vehicles, delivering approximately 422,875 units. The Model 3 and Model Y comprised most of Tesla’s production and delivery numbers with a total of 421,371 and 412,180, respectively. Tesla produced, 19,437 Model S and Model X vehicles in the first quarter, delivering 10,695 units to customers.
Tesla continues to drive interest in the Model 3 through upgrades. For instance, Tesla’s Project Highland has garnered attention in recent months as it is expected to introduce upgrades to the Model 3.

If the market weren't being skewed by government FORCE, EV's would have remained a tiny niche vehicle type of no importance.
The polling shows people don't want these POS's for the most part. Few would buy one given free choice. But government is forcing them on us to fulfill their radical Leftist Greentard vision of reality. Fuck Joke Biden and the Greentards!

As for charging... You cannot get around that charging an EV is not something that's portable. You have to have a charging source / station to do it. You can't just go get 100 miles of 'fuel' for an EV like you can for an ICE vehicle.
100 miles, give or take, of range in seconds and you can put it in anywhere you happen to be.
Good luck getting your battery charged when it's run out...
