Look, I’m tired of hearing how China is gobbling our lunch. What, are you implying that you want us to copy their commie playbook? China’s a menace, sure, but not because they’re economic wizards and they're building a big bad military, but they're not ready to take us on just yet. We’ve been their ATM for years, bankrolling their military buildup and their global charm offensive to hook everyone on their dime. Communism likes to put people on a leash to keep them tethered to Dear Leader’s whims.
Now, about Norway, lefties love to swoon over it like it’s the socialist utopia we should all mimic. High GDP per capita, cushy living standards, welfare galore, all with postcard scenery. Sounds like a dream, right? Except it’s like comparing a grape to a watermelon.
Norway’s got little more than 5 million people, half of New York City’s crowd. Over 60% of their exports? Crude oil and its cousins, all owned by Big Government. That alone disqualifies them from the US comparison game. Imagine Uncle Sam seizing all US oil to fund freebies for just half of NYC. Hell, I’d be sipping cocktails on a government dime, too. For fairness, scale Norway’s population up tenfold to 56 million, since we pump 20 million barrels of crude daily to their 2 million. If the US nationalized oil with a population that size, maybe we’d talk. Now add in a superpower shielding us from bad guys so we barely need to spend on defense, voila, free goodies for all. Cute fantasy, not reality.
Here’s the kicker, even with all that oil cash for a tiny population, Norway’s overspent, inflation’s creeping, and their whole cozy setup hinges on the “evil” crude they’re desperate to ditch to save the planet. Lefties tout this model but go mute when you ask what happens if oil prices or demand tank. Spoiler: they’re sweating the inevitable.
Yeah, I agree. America is too weak to be able to run things well. We are a weak and simple people with no ability to care about anything but our hunger.
We are about the worst people on the planet right now.
