Supporters of Donald Trump got an unexpected plea on Saturday: a request to send the alleged billionaire money.

It was an "emergency" request, the Hill reported, representing an urgent need for an infusion of $100,000.

Why supposedly "very, very rich" Trump couldn't simply write a check to cover the costs wasn't explained, but the missive was useful regardless: It demonstrates clearly the difficult position of the Trump campaign with only 142 days to go.

"Donald Trump is suddenly shy about money, saying that he has no reason to raise $1 billion for his campaign.

Previously, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee estimated that $1 billion was the amount he needed for the general election, but in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Wednesday, he refused to commit to raising even half that. "There's no reason to raise that," he said. "I just don't think I need nearly as much money as other people need because I get so much publicity. I get so many invitations to be on television. I get so many interviews, if I want them." It has been three weeks since Trump agreed to jointly raise money with the Republican National Committee, and he's held only two major events."

"Right now we're facing an emergency goal of $100,000 to help get our ads on the air. We need your contribution by 11:59 P.M. Tonight," the email from Team Trump said.

"Crooked Hillary is about to invade your TV with ads attacking Mr. Trump. But we're preparing to fight back," it reads.

The email promises to release ads attacking Clinton on her role in Benghazi, the integrity of her donors and reported FBI probing of her private email server while secretary of state.

The urgent fundraising email is routine for most presidential campaigns. But it's particularly notable since Trump insisted repeatedly during the GOP primary season that he was self-funding his campaign, only to start asking for donations later on.

To Trump "self funding" means, the press will cover everything I say wall to wall.
Now that he is the Nominee that is no longer true.
Deadbeat Don won't spend what little he has and doesn't really want to win anyway.

The trick is on the GOP who nominated a NYC liberal pretending to be a crazy xenophobic racist.
They bought his schtick, hook line and stinker.

He still thinks he can win by dominating each cable news channel cycle with crazy talk they have to cover..
Hillary's blanket ad campaigns will bury him.

So, here's the deal: if Trump was unable to anticipate something so simple and basic, about a Presidential campaign - why in the world do his supporters think he'll be any different with domestic and world affairs?

I mean, it gets a lot more complicated if he actually wins the Presidency.

This campaign is an embarrassment to humankind. It's tragic that one of our main national parties has devolved so completely.

The good news is that his supporters have now been identified and marginalized.

Well in donny's defense: He never thought so many Americans would be so naive (or worse) as to get him this far,~ can't say I blame him..
