Floyd's cause of death was asphyxiation caused by Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes. It was during these 9 minutes that Floyd pleaded with the cops he could not breath, not before as you falsely claim. The facts of Floyd's death were confirmed by a medical professional and Chauvin was found guilty of murder by a jury of his peers and sentenced by a judge.
You claim to know more than a medical professional, the jury and the judge. You're just angry because the justice you wanted isn't the justice you got.

You claim Chauvin "did what he was supposed to do according to police rules". This is false according to his own department that fired Chauvin for the murder. Furthermore, if Chauvin was innocent as you claim, why did he plead guilty to federal charges for violating both Floyd and a 14 year-old kid's civil rights?

I don't know what video you watched but the one I and everyone else saw was Floyd being pulled out of one vehicle and being pinned to the ground and held by Chauvin's knee. No one ever attempted to transport Floyd anywhere but to the morgue after he died.

Chauvin looked at the cameras and flatly refused to get up. Even when the ambulance crew tried to step in.

Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's neck even after Floyd stopped breathing and was no threat. It was murder, plain and simple.
Whatever video you're talking about the judge and jury had the right to see. If the video was so damning, Chauvin's conviction would be turned over on appeal. Chauvin got fair trials, both criminally and federally. His police record was riddled with complaints. Chauvin should never have been a cop.

Not just justified, but NECESSARY from that officers POV.
What was not an option for him was to simply surrender the space and that room to the insurrectionists because they had already weaponized their numbers. They would march and surround police and then the police would become completely unable to defend and any weapons on the cops would then be weapons the mob could take and use.
Once you allow a mob to completely surround you in complete proximity, everything you have on you, is now theirs.
So for that cop to not shoot Ashley or anyone trying to enter that room, to continue what the insurrectionists were doing at all points prior, in overwhelming them with numbers, would be a dereliction of duty. he would have been handing the Congress people, in that room over to a highly armed mob.
You don't have a clue how our justice system works. If there was video evidence that somehow exonerated Chauvin, some mercenary fuck lawyer like Alan Dooosh-a-witz would take the case, defend Chauvin pro bono and write a book about it.
