2013 Jan- July was the 42nd warmest on record.... Yet CO2 broke the 400ppm fear mongering level this year. At the same time 'scientists' who are supposedly 'climatologists' have once again proclaimed via the IPCC (according to the leaks) that mankind is the primary driver of global warming that occurred in the 1950-1998 time frame.

Nobody's saying the "end is near". What we're saying is we can prolong the end by respecting our environment. Climate change could be a bullshit theory but what's wrong with protecting our planet???

I don't understand why that's so hard to understand.

Protecting the planet should be a huge priority.

I just cringe these days when I see sentiments to the effect of "we have to reduce emissions so we can stop global warming!" There just isn't much basis in fact there.

Tell it to the insurance companies. They know the climate is changing. And since almost all scientists attribute it to human factors...think I'll go with them rather than with you.

Exactly thingy.....protecting the planet and our natural resources should always be a priority and it has nothing to do with man affecting the climate.

And THAT is the debate....Howey can seem to grasp what his fellow lefties are saying and it ain't JUST respecting the environment....nothing in that NOAA article
talks about protecting the planet or respecting the environment....

For the billionth time, there is nothing wrong with trying to limit or eliminate the pollution of air, land, water. What we don't need is fear mongering. Fear mongering that turns out to be based on bullshit HURTS the environmental movement. Think 'boy who cried wolf'.
