The constitution? I couldn't care what that old rag says anyway. One of the major original defenses of it (by Madison) was that it would effectively institutionalize a defense of the ruling demographic - white, male property owners, which of course, was a category all of our beloved founding fathers fell into.

So no right minded individual would ever put such a document (or any, for that matter) above their own best judgement.

Not quite true Topper. College grads split about 50:50 Dem/Repub. People with graduate degrees though are predominantly Democrats.

Tell that to the POTUS, he spent all his post grad education studying that rag that was created by white landowners, but contains language that would stand the test of time, all things considered... and certainly better than any other country that didn't copy it.
 
Another dim bulb on the Republican side. At least some of the other repubs apologized for his behavior.

Openly gay Pennsylvania state Representative Brian Sims (D) planned to speak on the legislature floor on Wednesday about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act — but he was blocked from talking by a Republican colleague who said his comments would be “open rebellion against God’s law.” Now, Sims is asking for a reprimand of his Republican colleague.

Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R), who is known for his inflammatory remarks, also blocked two of Sim’s colleagues who wanted to speak about DOMA, and openly admitted that his religious beliefs compelled him not to let Sims speak:

“I did not believe that as a member of that body that I should allow someone to make comments such as he was preparing to make that ultimately were just open rebellion against what the word of God has said, what God has said, and just open rebellion against God’s law,” said Metcalfe, R-Butler.

Other Republican members of the legislature reportedly apologized to Sims — who was the first lawmaker in the state to be elected while openly gay.

He should learn how to separate his god from the public sphere.
 
the republican party will have to lose this current base if they want the party to keep going.


They cant cheat enough to win elections with the new demographics.


The public is no longer fooled by your jerrymandering and ID laws into thinking you are not cheating people out of their votes.


The scotus did not hand you a path to cheating to win they handed you a test of your ability to act like Americans.

I know the republican party will fail that test and in so doing kill their party out right by cheating their asses off in elections
