We get it people all black drunk drivers should be set free and not arrested by cops. And if a perp decides to run the appropriate response is to say “guess he really didn’t want to be arrested” and let him go

I found the source that the taser gun was fired twice.

As I mentioned, once the gun is fired twice, it becomes a contact device. In a foot pursuit, unless the guy gives up, stops in his tracks and drops the taser, he and the cop are gonna fight. Now we're back at the point where a drunk, who has run away from the cops already, AND fired a taser at the cop, now has a contact device with which he can use to incapacitate the cop. And I believe you. The cop fired the taser at brooks, and brooks fired the second shot at the cop.
