How Do You Halt a Country That Answers to the Will of Just One Man?

Right now there’s no realistic way for the Federal Assembly to remove Vladimir Putin that I can see.

Putin’s foes can barely get close enough to throw something at him, much less assassinate him.

Modern Russia obeys the will of one man, and one man alone.

Some of you may be hoping for a military coup, but if Russian military leaders are willing to die in the act of invading Ukraine, they do not seem like the type of men willing to turn on Putin because you wish they would.

Judging from the assessment of “half a dozen western intelligence officials speaking to the Financial Times,” there is an excellent chance that Russia’s intelligence chiefs are afraid to tell Putin things he doesn’t want to hear.

Maybe I'm wrong.

I heard Konstantin Kisin say yesterday that this idea that Putin might be removed either by the oligarchs or the Little People is pure fantasy.

This idea that Putin is insulated and unaware is also fantasy.

your end game is vague.......should the world give Putin whatever country he asks for?.....

Power.....Russia and China have it.....we increasingly dont.

Putin will take what he wants in Ukraine, we cant do anything about it unless we go to WW3, and dont be so sure that you know who would win it.

so again, what do you suggest?......that we just let him have Ukraine and do nothing?........is that the Chamberlin methodology that protected Europe from Hitler in the thirties?.....

I think you're right and the question is who would replace Putin?

Putin has no heart. He cares not if he kills innocent civilians and destroys their homes. FJB

Meh. If it wasn't Putin, it'd be someone else. Bungling Biden's weakness is like blood in the water. Grow up. You sound like the narrator of a comic book plot.
