HAVANA, Cuba—The Cuban government is prepared to offer compensation to Americans and American firms that saw property nationalized after the 1959 revolution, Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio told Drop Site News in an interview.

The initial amount offered is 9 billion

Its a good first offer but leaves the government in tact so we should push for more.

Then they wont get reparations I guess? I dont really have skin in the Reparations game. Im not going to get it. Reparations and a public apology is just an admission that a historical wrong has been comitted against the US and Cuba is sorry for it.

I had a Cuban friend that rowed his wife and young daughter out of Cuba. When Cuba boat lift he wanted to get his wife's family out of Cuba. He tried to charter a boat in Houston but they wanted 100K to go to Cuba. So bought a cabin cruiser in Plano Tx. and hauled it to Florida. He ran out of gas before he got there the Coast Guard towed him back. The got more gas storage and to other guys that also wanted their families out of Cuba before Cuba allowed anyone to leave they had to sign away their property. On the way back to the US his boat was way overloaded and he did not have enough life vests. He was in a storm and thought the boat was going to get swamped. The Coast guard showed up and evacuated everyone except my friend they refused to tow him home so he went alone and landed about 90 mile from where he had planned to land. He called some cousins in Miami and the came and got him and took his boat to Miami and sold it.

The point is government officials took everything they owned.

If you have any evidence to support your opinion that X users are "those who can’t comprehend content beyond 280 characters", post it.

Of course, I will understand if you cannot.

BTW, there is no credible scientific or empirical evidence to suggest that X's (formerly Twitter's) character limit for posts causes, implies, or correlates with users being unable to comprehend longer messages.

In fact, short posts have been shown to support reading comprehension, summarization, argumentation, and critical thinking (e.g., college-level history students repurposing long texts into concise, cited posts).
