CRT - what is it you object to.

I have seen the effects of reparations at some of the local indian reservations, and it is not good. The reservations are cityless ghetto's for the most part. alcohol and drug abuse, especially opioids are rampant. People dying young, way young. TONS of money being brought in due to Casino's,...but MUCH WORSE life. You know who is ending up with all that Casino money? The white towns that surround the reservations. The big box stores owned by corporations,....they are raking it in and literally LTAO! Meanwhile you have indians dying at 40 drunk and doped up. Dont take my word for it,..... go see for yourself. THAT is what reparations bring.

What are they teaching that is untrue? Two pages in and nobody can answer that question...
what is it that you think they should be teaching...but aren't? That's the better question....
(I mentioned the BLM agenda...more than once...K/elementary/MS/HS appropriate? How so?)

It divides the students by race. That, in and of itself is racism. Not to mention all the lies and lying by omission that it does.

That's a flimsy argument. It's based on one single thing you heard.

America is a great country, but we have a lot of warts in our history. That's okay, and it's okay to teach about that.

Wrong.....Most of us heard about CRT when Obama was first running for POTUS when old footage of him came out where he was talking about it back on his campus.

Oh! So that's who started it, figures. He IS an African-American.

While black Americans have a proud heritage and have been here for centuries. Obama seeks to divide Americans along racial lines.

Obama does not possess a proud black American heritage. His dad is from Africa and probably was never even a citizen of the US.

Obama has nothing in common with black Americans, seriously. As a cracker I got a lot in common with black Americans. We've done the same work, eat a lot of the same foods, go to church in the same manner..

Recognize our faults in the same manner, often laughing at ourselves.

Calling a multi-generational black American "African-American" is an insult to a lot of Americans' intelligence.

They came from the same place I did: America. Land of the free, home of the brave, with opportunity if you're willing to work hard.

There needs to be more opportunity these days and for future generations. That's what MAGA is about. Somehow, through bureaucracy, a lot of opportunity has disappeared over the last few decades and needs to make a return while we still know things to do to make it happen.

Things like:

Make fuel cheap

Make vehicles affordable

Manufacture things in America to give people jobs

Put tariffs on imported goods to promote manufacturing in America.

Fuck the plastic bag bullshit, paper was better and more sustainable and gave people jobs, too.

Do away with bullshit laws but prosecute real and bad criminals more. Bring back speedy execution after trial with public hanging, set an example.

Anything leftists/Democrats suggest is not designed to do that. Not sure, but I think their goal is to be in control of all aspects of your life. That's what it looks like to me.

They do not care if you live life good, though. All they want is control and your money.

You think it was reparations that did that? Or maybe a long history of having been separated from your family, culture and being prejudiced against.

No, they don't want children coming home and asking why they were separated by "oppressor and "oppressed."
The problem with Critical Race Theory is that it has been given a name and now just initials for a handle that people and websites can bandy around without knowing what it means, e.g., the above quoted poster. Here is a fair definition:

"The central idea of CRT is that racism is institutionalized and is embedded in America's history, legal systems, and policies. It acknowledges the continuing impacts of slavery and segregation in America and critiques how institutionalized racism perpetuates a caste system that is inherently unequal."

This is far from a new idea. It's what most liberal minded Americans pretty much always believed about race in this country, that it is not primarily genetic, but primarily social. Black kids, for example, as a group under perform white kids as a group except when raised in a culturally white setting and then they do just as well. If you saw Condoleezza Rice walking down the street you would see a black woman. If you heard her on the radio you would hear a white woman.

CRT should get politically oriented people into serious discussion but what you usually get is flummery as in this thread.

I did answer your question. I cant help that you cannot read and retain.

You have not given a single fact that you object to teachers telling students about.

You just use code and generalizations, because you know its all BULLSHIT.

Thats exactly what happened. Anyway,....all this small talk matters very little. In the end CRT/Reparations loses out. For the most part people know exactly what it is and more importantly where it leads and have rejected it. You LOSE. ;) Hey,.....simple fix for you CRT/REPARATIONS supporters. How about YOU teach it to your kids. Very easy.

Sssssshhhhhh....let's not talk about our real history. Let's just teach them about all of the fun, happy stuff.

Let me ask you the same question I asked Jarod...what do you think is not being taught in schools that "should" be? These "warts" that you mention...;)

My heritage " German/Austrian" should really be CHARGING all you bastards for bringing some order and brains to this joint! I want my reparations!

#1 that whites were the only slaveowners

#2 that black Americans have not had opportunity

Where is an example of either of those things being taught? Black Americans have had some opportunity, but not equal opportunity, and nothing that fixes having been separated from their culture, wealth, religion and families.

You keep up with the generalities... What specifically divides students by race?

Thats a lie. I was taught like we were all taught about slavery, the slave trade, lynchings, ect ect. Doesnt sound very HAPPY to me.

Systemic racism is a huge part of our past.

That's really what conservatives are objecting to.
