Crowd sizes and the Big Lie

We've all heard it dozens of times by now: Trump had huge rallies. Biden barely had anyone. How could Biden have possibly won?

Did America just begin? Was no one around for ANY previous election, where lackluster candidates like Mondale, Dukakis, Dole, Kerry, Hillary, et al. ALL filled arenas with screaming partisans? Because that's what elections are about: partisans. And there are loads of them on both sides. When the candidate wants to fill an arena, they can - no matter how boring they seem to be.

It was pretty obvious in the last one that Trump didn't care about COVID, and Biden did. We can debate the merits of that all day, but small crowds for the Dems were by design.

It's one of the worst points that "Big Lie" proponents point to, among many bad points.
