Biden certainly didn't do this poorly.

Warning signs emerge for Trump with independent voters

Trump’s net approval among unaffiliated voters reached its lowest level of his second term on Tuesday, according to an aggregate from Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), with his disapproval rating surpassing 60 percent for the first time since he took office. This has accompanied a wider decline in his overall approval rating throughout June.

IMO it is going to get worse for Trump.
When his BBB is signed and the cuts that are in it take effect and all his tariffs are in effect and it really starts to hurt the MAGAS they will be turning on him too.
As it is you can read in the news a lot of them already are saying I didn't vote for this because the costs of things they need have gone up and are effecting them already and not all his tariffs are in effect yet.
Some farmers saying they may go bankrupt and out of business.
And a lot of them haven't realized that they could be effected by Medicare cuts and other federal program cuts in programs they use.
And when they finally do realize it they are going to get mad because they are the ones getting hurt.
Heck so far the states that get hit by hurricanes all the time haven't had one yet but when they get hit and the federal help isn't there either their state will have to step in and help , but that will be minimal because they don't have the money put in place to help their people . So people are going to have to get by the best they can.
And those states will have to decide if they are going to raise their state taxes to help pay for some of the damage or just let their people suffer, and if they let them suffer it could have a real big effect on who they elect to their state government next time.
