The Russians have been very clear for well over a year that ceasefire first is not happening, you have failed to understand what the Russians are doing even after I have explained it to you.
As Putin made clear, he is open to a ceasefire.
The war pigs here are not, but Putin is.
He may put unworkable stipulations on it, though.
If Putin did anything resembling Minsk 3.0 after all Russia has been through these last three years he would be in huge political trouble with his people....plus neither Putin nor just about anyone else in Russia trusts America a lick....we have lied to them too many times.
That the Europeans claim up and down that they will use a ceasefire to inject NATO armies into Ukraine cements it.
The pro globalist protests in Serbia, almost certainly lead by the globalists on the side of the Imperial Empire, will as well factor into Russias behavior.

Putin wants a near unconditional surrender, for a ceasefire that lasts 30 days. Not a full peace agreement, but a 30 day delay in attacking.
That's what losers do...especially after they were the ones who demanded war...they capitulate.
The Russians have no interest in a cease fire, they want what they have been demanding for a couple of decades, a European security arrangement that the demonic Imperial Empire will honor.
I guess then there will be no ceasefire. Putin will continue to fight the war until either he wins, loses, or changes his mind.
I hope for the Ukrainians sake, he changes his mind soon.

Putin is an autocrat. He doesn't give a shit what the public in Russia thinks. Trump is smart enough to deal with him as what he is, a dictator.
Vlad will come to the table and make peace, or face the wrath of Trump. He's not dealing with the senile and corrupt fool Joe anymore.

I just did Alastair Crooke on Judge Nap and Jeffrey Sachs on Glenn Diesen.....they both dont seem to expect this gambit to go anywhere. In addition Judge Nap says that after the Lavrov taped Q&A he was talking with Lavrov.....Said something like "What about this ceasefire idea?"......Lavrov said something like "Why would we do that?".

Yeah, Trump's ceasefire proposal was dead on arrival. Joe Lauria's article makes me think that Trump may have been influenced to propose it due to several factors. I'll quote a bit of his article here:

After the Oval Office dustup, in which Donald Trump and J.D. Vance laid it on the line to Zelensky in public, the Europeans held two summits. At both they made loud noises about continuing to support Zelensky, but also made clear they couldn’t do it without the United States.
Much as they loathe him, Zelensky and the European leaders need Donald Trump. So they set Zelensky up to writing a letter sucking up to Trump, a man clearly susceptible to flattery.
Very likely also influenced by his Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, both of whom had previously expressed neocon support for Ukraine and condemnation of Russia, Trump was apparently turned around, convinced to propose the 30-day ceasefire.

So after the ceasefire was floated, Trump resumed arms and intelligence flows to Ukraine, new sanctions on Russia were threatened and Ukraine fired 350 drones at residential areas of Moscow just as Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff was arriving in Moscow to discuss the ceasefire.

In the end, the “ceasefire” gambit may create more public sympathy for Ukraine. But the big question is whether it will harden Trump against Russia by continuing arms shipments and intelligence and perhaps levelling new sanctions against Moscow.
All that would do, however, is prolong the death and destruction. Without NATO’s direct participation in the war against Russia, which would risk nuclear annihilation, the outcome of the war is certain. Because of that, Trump could resume pressure on Zelensky to essentially give up instead.

That is why I did not sign up when I got here, since then I have noticed that very little happens at APP.
Baud says that if Trumps ceasefire gambit does not go anywhere that he will take America out of this assault on Russia. I am still trying to figure out if he thinks it will go anywhere.
