CPAC Stage Looked Like NAZI Symbol; Attendees Hostile; CPAC May Be Done At Hyatt.

Hyatt criticizes CPAC over stage resembling Nazi symbol, ‘hostility’ to employees

"Hyatt Hotels distanced itself further from the stage design at the CPAC 2021 conference in Orlando this past weekend, saying it would have scrapped the layout if it knew about its resemblance to a Nazi symbol.

The hotel chain also criticized CPAC attendees for the “disrespect” it showed employees who asked them to follow company policy and Orange County law requiring masks because of the pandemic.

...

The stage at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, a diamond shape with bent extensions branching off, resembles an Odal rune, a symbol used on some Nazi uniforms. The Nazi symbol was used by white nationalist groups at the Charlottesville protest in 2017.

Hyatt also accused CPAC attendees of “hostility” as staff urged conventioneers to wear masks and socially distance because of the pandemic.

Masks were sparse and enforcement was sporadic from the hotel and CPAC, though employees began walking around with warning signs and extra masks by the end of the first full day on Friday.

Attendees booed CPAC staff when they asked people to follow Hyatt’s mask mandates. Throughout the convention, attendees would take masks off when taking pictures and speaking to one another.

Orange County’s COVID “strike team” made a visit to CPAC on Friday and found that the Hyatt made every effort to enforce the mask mandate, a report states.

”In keeping with our deep culture of inclusivity, our colleagues worked tirelessly to support this event while enforcing Hyatt’s safety policies,” a Hyatt statement read. “At times, these efforts included reminding attendees to wear masks and socially distance, even while colleagues occasionally faced hostility from attendees who did not support our policies. While individuals are entitled to their opinions, in a Hyatt hotel we expect guests to follow our policies.”

In addition, Hyatt was “extremely disappointed by the disrespect many individuals involved in the event showed to our colleagues … We are tremendously grateful to our colleagues for their resilience and the care they demonstrated keeping people safe in circumstances that became increasingly difficult as the event evolved.” "

Just for easy comparison.

It's like they're not even trying to hide it anymore. If the two little "wings" in the back extended out to the same plane as the front diamond I might give them the benefit of the doubt.

Democrats have a speaker at their convention that was a murderer who tortured her victim for days and they have the nerve to talk about symbols?
Let's just start this thing and get it over with. Come at me, liberals, I'm ready for you

Dude it doesn't take that much imagination.

BTW, Snopes rated it unproven.

So I guess we'll probably never know.

It really does take some imagination. To many people have way too much time on their hands to be trying to make these comparisons. Even worse are the idiots falling for it.

The idea that this is a well known NAZI symbol is a lie. It also was not particularly often used by the NAZI's. It also goes back well over 1000 years.

Or could it have been the Nazi wannabes who first noticed it?

Who said anything about "well known" or "often used"? The swastika also goes back thousands of years, guess we should start making coffee cups and jackets with it on them, huh dum dum.
