It seems likely that both Xi and Putin are suffering from major health issues and will need to be gone soon no matter what, this might have been fundamental in them deciding to launch the Ukraine action now.

More broadly it is shocking and disturbing the degree to which the world is being run by very old people who will be gone soon, who have no stake in the outcome.

This almost cant help but to be bad for us, and just look at where we are, civilization is in steep decline.
