Banks had been closing all around the country at the very time FDR took office. He immediately shut them all down - his famous "Bank Holiday", as he hopefully termed it, and made a famous radio address asking Americans to trust him and his new administration and trust the banks instead of running to them to withdraw their money. When the banks reopened Monday morning there were lines of depositors, and the crisis passed. It was the beginning of "The First Hundred Days". Worth looking up.

More people voted for Trump than for any other single human being on the ballot and planet. More people voted against Harris than anyone else. Ouch! That is what winning the popular vote means, and it's what it means to get the majority of votes. Votes are not numbers they're people's choice between more than one candidate. To win the majority of votes you only need to get the majority of the votes. Funny how that works. In math class if you have 100 apples, you need to have 51 of them to have the majority because there's only apples in the equation. What happens if we throw an orange in the equation? Do you still have to get 51 of one fruit to have the majority of that fruit? No but you do have to have 51 to get the majority of the number 100, lol.
