Could Paula Deen's words bring down her empire?

What Paula Deen should have said: "I said things long ago of which today I am not proud, over a lifetime I have lived and grown and become a more understanding, more compassionate, and better person. I thank God that we have a society where such changes are not only possible but commonplace, and that I had the support of family and friends to help drive me towards improving myself."

This woman campaigned for the President, should she really lose it all because she said something years ago?

This isn't the first lie that has come out of Paula's mouth.
She even lied about her health condition when she was asked by interviewers if her health was in good condition, her reply: "yes it is".
Apparently she had stage 2 diabetes, and still does.
She has lied about many of her products in the past too.

Type 2 diabetes isn't a condition that precludes any possibility of health. One can control Type 2 diabetes and live a healthy life.

It can be controlled, but if not treated it could kill you.
It's still life threatening.
If your sugar level goes down randomly, which can happen; then you could faint.
It is a serious condition.
Paula's recipes were so fatty and unnourishing anyway.

Paula Deen's upcoming cookbook canceled

It's estimated this scandal has cost Paula, 12 million in endorsements so far?!!
