dec 30 2015 Bill Cosby was charged Wednesday with felony assault over an encounter with a woman 12 years ago.

"We are here to announce today charges that have just been filed against William Henry Cosby. These charges stem from a sexual assault that took place on an evening in early 2004 at Mr. Cosby’s home…" Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a press conference. "Mr. Cosby is charged with aggravated indecent assault. This is a felony of the first degree."

Cosby is expected to be arraigned on the charge this afternoon in Elkins Park, Pa.

A former Temple University employee told police the comedian drugged and violated her at his home near Philadelphia in 2004.

So the incident happened at HIS home. That tells me whatever happened was consensual.
 
What kind of evidence do they have? At this point I could not make a judgment. Just being at my house doesn't mean that you are consenting to sex with anybody who lives there.

Ever hear of reasonable doubt? The fact that she was in his house means the odds are it was consensual and that's all you need for reasonable doubt. THINK

No more evidence than they had on Bill Clinton yet Bill Clinton is lionized by the democrat party and Bill Cosby is vilified. Can only be chalked up to racism on the part of KKKhristiefan and her ilk.

Some people will defend a rapist at any cost...just as others will always defend violent sadistic cops.
It has to make you wonder what's going on in their personal life...

No different than your side defending Bill Clinton and you want to put him back in the White House with Hillary. Yet you lambaste Bill Cosby and defend Clinton. Must be your racism

This past July -- nine years after [Constand's] civil case was settled -- a judge decided to unseal Cosby's deposition in that case in response to a motion by the media.

In it, Cosby admits he had sexual relationships with at least five women outside his marriage, gave prescription sedatives to women he wanted to have sex with and tried to hide affairs from his wife.

When the deposition was released and "we learned about allegations from other victims under similar circumstances, reopening this case was not a question," Steele said. "Rather, reopening this case was our duty as law enforcement officers with a sworn obligation to uphold our constitutions and to uphold the law."

Bill Cosby, in Deposition, Said Drugs and Fame Helped Him Seduce Women

He was not above seducing a young model by showing interest in her father’s cancer. He promised other women his mentorship and career advice before pushing them for sex acts. And he tried to use financial sleight of hand to keep his wife from finding out about his serial philandering.

Bill Cosby admitted to all of this and more over four days of intense questioning 10 years ago at a Philadelphia hotel, where he defended himself in a deposition for a lawsuit filed by a young woman who accused him of drugging and molesting her.

Even as Mr. Cosby denied he was a sexual predator who assaulted many women, he presented himself in the deposition as an unapologetic, cavalier playboy, someone who used a combination of fame, apparent concern and powerful sedatives in a calculated pursuit of young women — a profile at odds with the popular image he so long enjoyed, that of father figure and public moralist.

In the deposition, which Mr. Cosby has for years managed to keep private but was obtained by The New York Times, the entertainer comes across as alternately annoyed, mocking, occasionally charming and sometimes boastful, often blithely describing sexual encounters in graphic detail.

He talked of the 19-year-old aspiring model who sent him her poem and ended up on his sofa, where, Mr. Cosby said, she pleasured him with lotion. He spoke with casual disregard about ending a relationship with another model so he could pursue other women. “Moving on,” was his phrase. He suggested he was skilled in picking up the nonverbal cues that signal a woman’s consent.

“I think I’m a pretty decent reader of people and their emotions in these romantic sexual things, whatever you want to call them,” he said. Through it all, his manner was largely one of casual indifference.
