Coronavirus stay-at-home orders stir protests nationwide

Disagreed since they are usually pretty sick before they die. New York City has a lot of data on how many people got sick and how many died.

Well, you go on then and take your chances. Maybe you guys could start a new movement. "We're Muricans! We ain't scared of no germs! Kiss a COVID patient today!"

LOL. I think it's only a matter of time before we all get it unless a vaccine or cure is discovered. South Dakota is doing a state-wide test of hydrochloriquine. The results won't be known for at least 6 months.

Good luck with that, SD.

I posted a link to an article about a married couple, both NY physicians, who got the crud. He ended up in the hospital and was there for quite a long time. He was treated with azithromycin, hydroxychloroquine, and the experimental drug remdesivir and is now recovering at home. She was barely ill. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing whether he would have recovered anyways, or whether one drug saved him, a combination saved him, or what. They're desperately throwing everything they have at the bug and hoping something sticks.

It’s what they do when you are dying.

Interesting, only those who test positive?

It appears so. People who are sick are offered the chance to take the experimental drug. If they accept then they'll either be given the drug or a placebo. Data on levels of illness, recovery times and deaths will be collected.

Yes. Hail to the brave volunteers in SD who will be our guinea pigs to see if something works. Bless their hearts.
Amen. I took Herceptin, cancer drug, it can damage the heart, I was fortunate and suffered no side effects. I can’t imagine taking a drug voluntarily that might cause you to die.

That's not the question I asked.

It basically means as long as it takes. I for one would like to curb the insane tourists and second-home people from marching up my way if this isn't settled. Florida has been one of the most careless states and we don't need them coming back up here. We have orders against other Michiganders but not out of staters. If lockdowns continue they won't be swarming the area like in previous years. It's not like beaches and festivities will be there for them anyway.

Hopefully all of those on the drug are in the hospital and closely monitored for such a problem.
