I have not been overwhelmed with how nuanced terrorist thinking is. He needed to be very extremist to turn to terrorism. This is not "I agree with the left on some things, and the right on other things." This is "the left is pure evil, right on no issue, and must all be killed."
Beyond that, I notice that when a terrorist turns out to be a right wingnut, we suddenly get this "maybe he really isn't on the right", or "he was crazy." He was definitely right wing, and appears to have been part of a greater organization.
