A homeless, ascot-wearing convicted sex fiend who claimed to a be a French TV reporter to pick up women is blaming everyone but himself for his 2011 Riverside Park rape, harassment and stalking conviction in a rambling new court filing.
Hugues-Denver Akassy, 45, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, N.Y., blathered on about what he thinks is a "conspiracy" among police, prosecutors, judges, his attorney and even the court reporters who transcribed his trial in a 212-page handwritten motion filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
He said a judge refused to give him a new lawyer "even after knowing that there was a conspiracy against the defendant" between prosecutors and the court-appointed attorney, he charged in the meticulously-penned filing that also included grammatical mistakes, spelling errors like "Rickers Island" and French words like "Septembre."
Then, he said, another judge again denied his request on the eve of his trial. Because he "felt a losing battle, he resigned not to aggravated the judge but to leave his faith to God Almighty," he wrote in papers that argue for a new trial.
