Thats what I figured.....no one is bashing the play and no one is bashing what was said at the play....
they are bashing the fact that what happened wasn't what the paying audience paid to see....they didn't go to the play
to hear a political rant from the stage.....
trump bashed the play, or did you miss that?
This entire fiasco is pure bullshit.
Here is what the actor actually said:
"Thank you so much for joining us tonight. You know, we had a guest in the audience this evening. And Vice President-elect Pence, I see you're walking out but I hope you will hear us just a few more moments. There's nothing to boo here ladies and gentlemen. There's nothing to boo here, we're all here sharing a story of love.
We have a message for you, sir. We hope that you will hear us out. And I encourage everybody to pull out your phones and tweet and post because this message needs to be spread far and wide, OK?
Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton: An American Musical, we really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us — our planet, our children, our parents — or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us.
Again, we truly thank you for sharing this show. This wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men [and] women of different colors, creeds, and orientations."
Please point out the parts that were bashing?

I never have gotten musicals.
John Jay: "Mr. Hamilton. Mr. Jefferson has rejected your federal banking plan. What should we do?"
Alexander Hamilton: "I know, lets spontaneously sing and dance!".
I hated extracurricular activities in high school. But then again my family was poor and it was pretty embarrassing that we couldn't afford most of them. I mean it's pretty embarrassing to have to drop a sport or activity because your parents can't afford to buy you a dedicated pair of tennis shoes or pay for a field trip, let alone pay the extra fees. That and I loathed...just loathed the cult of personality surrounding High School football. I think that's a big reason why I prefer baseball to football.I grew-up watching Rodgers & Hammerstein films. Also, the high school I went to can't win a football game to save its life, but it can clean-up at Seattle's 5th Avenue Awards. Although, it had the same theatre director from about 1970 until a few years ago, and regression has naturally set in (my mom got back from the latest production Sunday afternoon and texted me her disappointment).
