Conservatives got to quit on the bashing the play Hamilton

who cares how the play does? We do it so that the rest of the country sees that the upper crust of NY rejects Trump. Something like this will happen in DC as well and we will keep harping on that too.

Oh, you're organizing the strategy, are you?

Can you point to the verbiage from the Hamilton incident that "rejects Trump"?

Trump is part of the "upper crust of NY,' did you think he came from Kansas? And it ain't happening in DC, quite the opposite, he's already making amends with the good ole boy network while hiring slews of Goldman Sachs veterns to handle his transition team.

You've been used and you don't even know it

Stage plays are subject to critique at all times by professional critics and the public. It's open season. "Diverse" people can criticize all they want.

You think Trump and his followers bashing Hamilton is a critique of the play? So what would that make the boycott Hamilton call? like it make a difference

cuz it makes the story grow. Its supposed to be a non-story so we have to feed it a bit.

The critique is of anything having to do with the play, the actors, the theatre seats or the popcorn...any part of the theatre experience that was had on that particular evening. Some diverse people enjoyed all of it, some diverse people enjoyed none of it, others had mixed feelings.

The play has been sold out for months already. Not like this was some struggling performance
I never have gotten musicals.

John Jay: "Mr. Hamilton. Mr. Jefferson has rejected your federal banking plan. What should we do?"

Alexander Hamilton: "I know, lets spontaneously sing and dance!".

Right there w/ you. I've been to too many - they're mostly ridiculous & way too long (to me).

Only exception for me was 'Les Miserables,' which was really good. The rest I have seen have bored me silly.

les miz was my favorite too. Loved the innkeeper :)

Are they bashing the play or what happened after the play ?

I haven't hear anything bad about the play itself....

Ha! I've gone to a few because it's the "cultural" thing to do here. Last one I saw was "Kinky Boots". I bet my wife and I were one of only a half dozen heterosexual couples there.

Yeah those actors of Hamilton are so concerned many of them couldn't be bothered to vote. But, hey you liberals keep worrying about what they think.

Personally, I wish Trump wouldn't give the race hustlers the credence, but it is how he rolls.

As I have stated repeatedly, as long as he gives us three justices like Scalia, I don't give a flying fuck what he does. My support of Trump was only about the Supreme Court. Deliver on that and the rest doesn't matter to me.

With a 6-3 conservative court we can remake this country

the more they attempt to discredit the play the better it does

They aren't bashing the play you low information leftist dimwit; they are bashing the players who wouldn't know Hamilton from Washington.

This entire fiasco is pure bullshit.

Here is what the actor actually said:

"Thank you so much for joining us tonight. You know, we had a guest in the audience this evening. And Vice President-elect Pence, I see you're walking out but I hope you will hear us just a few more moments. There's nothing to boo here ladies and gentlemen. There's nothing to boo here, we're all here sharing a story of love.

We have a message for you, sir. We hope that you will hear us out. And I encourage everybody to pull out your phones and tweet and post because this message needs to be spread far and wide, OK?

Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton: An American Musical, we really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us — our planet, our children, our parents — or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us.

Again, we truly thank you for sharing this show. This wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men [and] women of different colors, creeds, and orientations."

Please point out the parts that were bashing?
