Combine that with long, long wars in Afghanistan and Iraq...and Yemen and all the others too.
You must have a solution for Yemen.. I'd like to hear it.
Combine that with long, long wars in Afghanistan and Iraq...and Yemen and all the others too.
I don't know what promises you are talking about.
The article looks into WHY they're drinking and drugging themselves to death.
You keep avoiding the "WHY", and it's unclear why.
Not the point of the article. Again, the point of the article was to examine why the mortality rate for middle-aged white people grew so much since 2000, and the conclusion after not one, but TWO studies was that their mortality rate was increasing because they were drinking themselves to death out of despair.
Despair that life didn't turn out the way they had been promised by the people they spent the last few decades voting for who promised them otherwise.
Not sure why you aren't able to take that away from the article when it's written in plain English.
The graying of America and the economy have been pretty tough since the dot com bubble.
Combine that with long, long wars in Afghanistan and Iraq...
Successful countries invest in their people .. they don't bleed the country with endless wars.
That's about healthcare... We almost turned a corner with Obamacare..
I live around a lot of seniors.. I don't see despair. I see failing health, dementia.. meanness.. as in people who were mean when they were young are mean now even if they are financially well off.
Again, it's not about health care because the mortality rate for every other demographic didn't see the same increase.
It was only among poor white trash.
Actually non college educated whites killing themselves shows they are the true environmentalist in the world. They care enough that they are willing to take their own life for the planet they love. Who else is willing to step up and have their words match their rhetoric?
No one believes you. And the more you say it, the less convincing you become.
It doesn't prove your point! You said they were "virtually the same". 20% below the other is not "virtually the same".
You fucking lied and now you're trying to move the goalposts so you don't have to admit you lied.
What a fraud. These exaggerations are specifically why your personal claims cannot be believed or trusted.
Again you conveniently avoid an important statistic: married vs. unmarried. The uninsured rate for black people is higher than white people.
Guy who defends Confederate statues and thinks Nazis are very fine people thinks the left is intolerant.
You mean that you don't want to believe, because it destroys everything that you've ever thought about conservatives.
Nah. It proves my point, especially considering the difference in education, of which you conveniently ignore. It's also far from the '65 cents to the dollar' that you insinuated.
I can't believe it because you have no credibility and you're using unverifiable personal anecdotes as your credibility.
especially considering the difference in education, of which you conveniently ignore.
It's also far from the '65 cents to the dollar' that you insinuated.
It doesn't prove your point.
You said they were "virtually the same".
Then you admitted one was 20% higher than the other.
That means they're not "virtually the same". It means one is higher than the other.
Again you conveniently avoid an important statistic: married vs. unmarried.
