Way to pick your battles, gang! That one didn't fare too well for you.

It's rare that I break out in actual laughter watching the news, but the coverage of Obama's school speech was pretty madcap hilarity today...
 
You seem to not grasp that "the battle was won"....and thats why you got the speech you heard....and a fine speech it was, after it was cleaned, scoured, and sanitized to meet the minimum standards .....
Nice job President Obama....its the speech you should have had written in the first place...
 
Well, at least we didn't call for an investigation over the speech..but you just go right on laughing..it sounds like your party needs a good laugh..I mean look at them poll numbers, eh.

Dems are not the issue on my post.
The FACT that Republicans espouse all those things but do not do them is the issue.

Dems do not claim to be for all of those things as a party platform.

Among Republicans supportive of Obama's right to make the speech were Newt Gingrich, the Republican former House speaker, who told NBC that there were other presidents had established such a precedent. "President Reagan did it, President [George] HW Bush did it … It's a good speech, I recommend it to everybody if you have any doubts."

There was support too from the former first lady, Laura Bush, who said: "There is a place for the president of the US to speak to schoolchildren, to encourage schoolchildren."

If this was the speech he presented in the first place, there would have been no problem....and no boycott...

You aren't really trying to claim that no schools banned the speech, or that there weren't any conservatives who were still screaming about the speech this very morning, are you?

Because that would be the biggest pile of bullshit yet.
 
It was banned is some counties in KY I know for certain.
And some others required signed permission slips from parents to allow the children to see/hear the president of our country give a speech.

or is this more of the Progressive way of thinking...it should of been FORCED on all schools just because they said so...

when is it up to a K-6th grade student on how a school is supposed to be run...I believe it is still the parents who are paying for those decisions...we aren't a communist nation yet.

And you were wrong.


And our school system is socialist not communist.
I pay school taxes and have no children in school.
 
I for one am not satisfied.....I want Ken Starr hired to investigate who knew about the speech and when, what the first draft looked like and how many virgin interns were sacrificed in it's production.......
 
It's gonna take a while for the Limbaugh crowd to come to terms with a black man being President. And a while to realize they lost the last election. And probably a little longer to realize they are being manipulated like the tools they are.
