I agree 100%. 100000000% CK did NOT deserve to be assassinated.

But as CK himself noted, in a nation protected by the Second Amendment, a certain number of these tragedies is to be expected. Charlie felt it was a good deal.

I don't disagree. When you trade your freedom for complete safety from everything, you become a slave to the system you created to keep you safe.

Never said that. I disagree with CK. I don't think his murder is an acceptable price to pay for the Second Amendment. But he did.

I don't think you can stop a determined assassin. If not a rifle, then a knife, or a bomb. The tool isn't the problem, the one wielding it is.

You have no data showing how removal of firearms would affect those numbers.

We do know that a total ban on firearms in the UK only had a short-lived effect on the murder rate there followed by a large increase in knife murders.

The problem has gotten so bad the government has put "Knife / Weapon Surrender" bins all over the country to little effect.
