I am sure there are many more... please list what you can come up with.

Dont get me wrong, I am not saying either group should be prevented from existing or sharing opinions, I am just pointing out some stuff they have in common.

If Republicans and Radical Islamists are so much alike, when are you going to start kissing my ass like you do them. You have been the biggest cheerleader on the board for them.

Aside from your obvious misconceptions about Conservative principles I'm on record stating that I have more in common with a devoutly religious Muslim then I do with a libtard like you. Unlike you, I prefer to let folks tell me what their positions are.

Really, show me a quote where Ive done that.... Silly.

As a matter of fact I have discussed the principles held common with several muslim men. You are correct, Jarrod, that I do have much in common with them.

American exceptionalism - I do believe we are an exceptional nation with an exceptional history, though not without our faults and unfair dealings, especially with Natives
Strong nationalism - I root for America to succeed over every other nation in every aspect of her dealings so you would probably label me a nationalist
Pre-emptive war against perceved enemies - I have never been in favor of this. Wars are sometimes necessary and it is unfortunate but I have never been for going out and hunting trouble.
Religous Litmis test to serve in Government - While it is true that if one person appears more moral than another I am going to give them more consideration, I don't think a person necessarily has to be religious to be a good government leader.
anti-Gay - I definitely, along with my Muslim friends, think homosexuality is a debased, sinful lifestyle but unlike them, I don't think they should be imprisoned or physically punished.
Anti-Womans Lib - I am for a woman holding any office she is capable of and getting paid on an equal scale with men. I have no problem with that. But like my Muslim friends, in my mind abortion is nothing short of murder.
Religen deeply entrenced in government - Not so. Never been so in the US anyway. We may have had some religious people holding offices and most of our founders were deeply religious but never would I say that I am for, nor most of my conservative friends for a government steeped in religion. That is exactly why our ancestors left Europe in the first place.
Government deciding where religous institutions can be built. - Not so. That should be left up to the property owners. I don't care if they want to build a mosque 5 blocks from the twin towers area or not. I do think it is a bad idea on thier part but who cares. If they own the property and can afford it then let them go for it.
Strict Moral Code based on religous doctrine - Of course. Here is where my Muslim friends and I find much common ground. If there is no standard of morality taught and adhered to by a religion then what good does the religion do? I mean how does it distinguish the religious from the non-religious? And there is supposed to be a distinction.
No Abortion for any reason - See my response to "Anti-Womans Lib."
Sex Taboo subject - This is where me and my Muslim friends go in different directions. IMO Sex must be talked about...is there for our (both men and women) benefit. I make it a point to talk about it in my classes and sermons when necessary...not to overdo it or anything but let folks know they can (or at least attempt to) talk about it without turning three shades of red.
Woman should be punished for being promiscuous - My answer here is pretty much the same as my answer to your "Anti-Gay" above. Yes, I believe it is sinful and debased behavior to be promiscuous whether your a man or woman, but do not believe any earthly punishment for such sin is ours to dish out. God will sort it out in the end.

So, in short, this conserative does have some areas (maybe even a lot of them) where he agrees with Islamic adherents. The differences are largely seen in what kind of consequence is necessary to combat certain behaviors that are deemed immoral.

Do you belive that a religous person is necessarily more moral than a non-religous person?

Absolutely not. I have known people of "faith" who have cheated on their wives or whatever while I have known complete athiests who have remained completely loyal to them. So, no, I do not believe a religious person is necessarily more moral tha a non-religious person. I do believe, however, that a religious person is more likely to be more moral than a non-religious person.

Im ok with that!

Just when you worry that you might have been too hard on Jughead and start to feel a little sorry for him.....he posts something like this....

I now feel vindicated....

Conservatives are closer to Radical Islam...

Jarhead, you are such a copycat goob! I said this wayyyy back... When you libtards first started getting chummy with radical Islam... you remember, a few months after 9/11 when all the 'come-togetherness' wore off? Of course, back then, you were all telling us how radical Islam didn't really exist, it was all concocted by Neocons. So maybe you forgot about it, but I said the same thing.

I told you guys then, whenever radical Islam takes over America and begins to 'assimilate' us to Sharia, the right-wing Christian fundamentalists will have the least trouble converting. They already do the daily prayer thing, and facing Mecca isn't a big deal, it's the same direction as Israel. Change covers on The Bible to The Qaran... no one will ever know what they are actually reading... and the Muslim faith, if you study the history of it, is really just a cheap knock-off of Christianity, many of the same tenants apply. Christians believe God is God, and it wouldn't matter if you had to call him "Allah", he's still who he is to a Christian. The

Liberals, are who will have a hard time with this... they'll want to protest and demand rights for women, and the right for gay people to keep their heads... and this will not be viewed favorably by the Taliban, or whoever our masters are... so they will have to die. But I think you're right, conservative Christian fundies won't have a bit of trouble adapting. It's just funny that you liberals still want to 'side' with the radical jihadists, instead of standing together with the right against them. It's worse than cutting off your nose to spite your face, it's more like, cutting off your HEAD to spite your face!
