feb 8 2019 (CNSNews.com) -- Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) should not be required to release her income tax returns, although Pelosi and House Democrats want to legally require President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to release their tax returns under H.R. 1.

On Thursday on Capitol Hill, CNSNews.com asked Chu, “Under H.R. 1, Speaker Pelosi would require the president and the vice president to release their tax returns. Do you think Speaker Pelosi should be required to release her tax return as well?”

Chu said, “No, I don’t think so, because I – unless she’s running for president.”

“See, the whole point of this is, these are the people who make the decisions at the very top,” said Congresswoman Chu. “And for 40 years the president has released the tax returns and there’s good reason for doing that, because the American people need to have faith that their president is acting on their behalf and not his own behalf.”

You are so fucking nuts. Presidential candidates and VP candidates have been releasing taxes since Nixon. Trump did not. Trump said he would. When Romney was running, Trump said Romney should release his taxes. What does anything have to do with Pelosi? How can you criticize her without releasing your taxes. Post them tomorrow. THINK

Not a single Democratic presidential nominee/winner should release their taxes. Trump has set several precedents which Democrats should now follow since Republicans are clearly ok with them.

You demand the president and VP release their tax returns. Well - the speaker of the house is next in line for succession. If trump and pence were killed, pelosi would be president. THINK
 
The president is violating the emoluments clause. He is making the presidency a profitable business. Pelosi is not doing that. Trump is a crook and violates societies norms as a sport. Our normal rules are for presidential and VP candidates to release their taxes to show the people they do not have financial entanglements with foreign nations.
Text wants whoever is below SOTH house to release their taxes too, because when Trump and Pence are thrown in jail, then whoever that is ,must be open about their finances. And what if that person dies. Then whoever is next, should release theirs. But to text, only Trump is exempt.
