I made no such claim. My point was states can make any abortion laws they want. Sorry if my mocking California confused you but yes your map proves this ruling did not make abortion illegal or even difficult to obtain.

Not to labor the point but this is what you wrote. All I'm saying is that CA alone doesn't have basically unregulated abortion, and that a bunch of red states have the same "liberal" abortion policies as CA. I know cons love to bash CA as a bastion of immorality but that doesn't work when it comes to abortion law.

It's up to individual states. SCOTUS did not make abortion illegal. Texas might make it illegal and California might make it mandatory. It's a state by state decision and back in the hands of the people.

And those bans have been upheld. But they are upheld on very narrow grounds. If they were upheld on the grounds that the 2nd only applied to militias, that would be the equivalent of what just happened.
