Condi Rice for VP?

Well okay, so big fucking deal! I gave Democrats more credit than deserved, that's one less prominent black Democrat they could have put on a ticket!

Feel better?

Translation: "I am so astoundingly stupid that I thought Bella Abzug was black...but don't fret, every other bit of info I pass off as "factual" on these boards is 100% accurate."

Don't you love how he tried to turn that one around to reflect negatively on Democrats having LESS prominent blacks than he was giving them credit for?

Other than the rube himself, who else buys that steaming-pile-of-horseshit masquerading as an explanation for his utter stupidity? :D

People in DC and all over the country are desperate for quality education for their children .. an indictment itself on America.

In their desperation, many have sought the supposed benefit of vouchers that would send their children to more quality schools .. but its an illusion held by desperate people.

Are you aware of the problems with the DC voucher program and its delivery to students? Probably not.

There are a myriad of sources that detail the problems with the voucher program .. but here is one from your own side of the political fence ..

False Choice
How private school vouchers might harm minority students.

Here's the problem as I see it.

Vouchers for school choice are a nice idea, but until they will cover the cost of tuition at the elite, most prestigious private schools, then the system is still gimmicked in favor of the rich.

Only the richest can afford the supplemental funding necessary to make up tuition at the District's elite schools, so the rich will be attending the best schools while the poor and middle class will be stuck in lower tier schools.

This one line from the article you cited sums it up quite nicely: "But tuition at the city’s most elite, highest-achieving private schools are far too expensive for both the previous voucher allotments ($7,500 per year) and the increase proposed in the new bill ($12,000 per year). "

FAR. TOO. EXPENSIVE. FOR. VOUCHERS.

It's my turn to ask questions

Tell me why African-Americans should even consider voting for republicans? That is the crux of this argument, is it not?

Why in the hell would I vote for a political party with such a miserable record concerning African-American people?

But instead you vote for a party that

1) fought for slavery
2) started KKK
3) started Jim Crow laws
4) fought against Civil Rights
5) introduced policies that decimated the black family leading to a 70% illegitimacy rate
6) commits genocide against your race with abortion on demand

The question really is, what has such blind loyalty gotten blacks so far? How have their lives materially improved under the demalquedacrats?

Seems to me that as a race/community, their lives have only gotten worse since the 60s

At least Reverand Al has his own show now so that is a step in the right direction, huh

:0)

A. Republicans don't create jobs

B. Republicans don't represent all races.

C. I not only answered your question about vouchers .. I gave you a link to make yourself smarter about it with information that you obviously didn't know.

Not a single one of you has the slightest coherent answer of why blacks should vote for your all-white party.

Not one of you. :0)

so, your answer is you aren't paying attention...........got it.........though you're still dodging the questions in Post #325......

and yet there was a waiting list to participate......I somehow wonder if your claims are bullshit......

Well, we can always sit and do nothing about our public schools. This has no impact on me, being a white, suburban male. This tends to be my reaction the situation. Why fight for people's quality of education when it's such a hassle, and the Dems can keep everything locked-up the way it is, with no end in sight?

Dems like to keep the public dumb......job security.....

Well then, if Righties who claim they are so concerned about "school choice for the poor" truly care, then why don't they offer up a voucher large enough to get those poor, desperate inner city children into the most prestigious private schools?

because it isn't necessary to put somebody into the most expensive to give them a quality education.......I sent my kids to a private school where they got a great education and it cost less than $6k a year per child.....on top of paying the property taxes that paid for most of the $10k per child they spent in the local public schools......

so, your answer is you aren't paying attention...........got it.........though you're still dodging the questions in Post #325......

My answer is that you don't have a clue what you're talking about .. just spouting meme.

Republicans don't create jobs and don't represent all races .. and you have yet to offer anything that even remotely answers the question of why blacks should support your all-white political party.

You don't have a clue.

Where is the debate?

Surely you're armed with all manner of statistics and data that demonstrates all the jobs that republicans create .. but you aren't .. because they don't..

Surely you're armed with all kinds of information that demonstrates that republicans represent all races .. but you aren't .. because they don't.

You don't seemed actually prepared to debate anything .. other than toss out a bunch of questions that have absolutely nothing to do with the issue.

And therein lies the problem.

The rich can still send their kids to the most prestigious schools, secure in the knowledge that even using a voucher, the middle class won't be able to afford to send their kids there.

So the rich get their subsidy to send their kids to a top tier private school and the rest of us have to settle to sending our kids to those second tier schools.
