Got news for you.... currently whites comprise over 60% of the US population.

Hispanics are somewhere above 20% and growing, while blacks remain stuck at around 13% with Asians, Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, Aleutians and others making up the remainder.

And while it's possible that all those disparate non-white groups together MIGHT someday outnumber whites, in terms of individual groups, whites will remain the largest single ethnicity in this country for a long, long time.

You're not saying anything that anyone didn't already know. There is no question that white people will comprise less than 50% of the population within decades. That might/should hasten the dismantling of white privilege, especially as Republicans continue to alienate people of every color.

The term "white privilege" is a misnomer at best.

One could say that there is an advantage to being white, but that mostly has to do with nature and genetics.

Nothing we consciously ever had or have any control over.

Calling it a "privilege" is just snarkiness that belies the envy and jealousy of those who have failed to step up when given the opportunity.

An attempt to lessen or downplay the determination and industriousness of those to whom they've assigned this so-called "privilege".

Black people who put in the work and effort to succeed in this country have every single privilege anyone else has.

Every negative stereotype the rest of the country has of them, they largely bring upon themselves.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

No it is plain fact that whites will become the minority by 2045 and just 5 years ago this was supposed to be 2050 so it is coming faster than expected. You may be correct that whites may be the largest minority but when Hispanics, Blacks, Asians and Indians (and democrats) all know that republicans are a bunch of bigoted racists those minorities all predominantly vote for Democrats. It is becoming harder every national election for Republicans to win and inside of 10-15 years they won't win any national elections. You may still have republican governors in the severly uneducated states like AL, LA and MI but we will no longer have any republican presidents. We already have red states turning blue but you don't see blue states turning red. Deny it if you care to but I'm citing simple fact, whites will be the minority and as long as the rest are overwhelmingly on the left, assholes like you will be shit out of luck.

I don't know. I know if it were by the time I was in high school there'd have been plenty of pushback on my part. I had no qualms about making teachers look stupid by then.

Slavery was largely a function of what today would be called agribusiness. That is, the average Southerner didn't own slaves. The big plantation owners (today these would be large argi-corporations like ADM, Tyson, etc.) were the primary slave holders. Lynchings were relatively rare. Laws like Jim Crow (grossly overused as an example) were often applied to society to keep one segment or another out of power.

Bet you didn't know there were lots of free Blacks in the South and in the US in general. Some of them were slave owners too. Some were quite successful in business as well.

Our real history is more complex and nuanced than it is often made out to be.

For example, the Left loves the example of Rosa Parks as a civil rights gesture, but forgets Elizabeth Jennings Graham who prior to the Civil War actually did something about racially segregated public transit in New York City. But the Left doesn't hold her up as an example because she was college educated (a rarity for women at the time), from a well-to-do family, and member of a number of prominent social organizations. In other words, for the left she was bourgeoise--the wrong social rank. Today she'd be seen by the Left as a female "Uncle Tom."

WE didnt do any of those things to blacks. Those people back then did. Did Hispanic people of today kill anyone at the Alamo? Nope s..sure didnt. Only weirdos and lying virtue signalers feel guilty for shit they didnt do. Should AA's feel guilty for Africans slaying other tribes, enslaving them and selling them to Arabs and Euro's? I doubt you've ever actually seen first hand, any examples of blacks being denied some privilege whites supposedly enjoy.

The very idea that just because one has Caucasian ancestry gives them special privileges over blacks (Because that is who you mean. I've never heard one of you wokies claim that about Hispanics, many of whom are white) is so far beyond the realm of common sense and reason, it's difficult to fathom how anyone could be so naive and gullible to believe it.

Woke, sjw, do-gooder, bleeding heart, whatever. It's nothing new and has gone by different names for generations. But the basic personality type hasn't changed.

BLM is misguided because they only appear when some black criminal gets himself killed assaulting the police while they try to arrest them, but they are never anywhere to be found when blacks are killed other blacks.

If wokeism simply meant equality under the law for all people, then yes, there would be not a thing in the world wrong with it. But it doesn't stop there. It implies, along with the idea of white privilege which is a tenet of wokeism, that we should all consider black people to still be victims of white oppression who need special, kid glove treatment. That they are to be pitied and not held to the same tough standards as everyone else.

I suspect that it may even be part of a cynical agenda to guilt trip whites into more and more concessions.

There is power in victimhood.
