He testified it was his personal property, and that it was drafted so as to preclude it containing classified content.

Doesn't matter. Copies as good as originals in evidence nowadays. Plus the word software will have not only evidence of the original creation, but any on the fly changes he made, or iterations before the final save or the "original"
He said something about "tapping" the memo out, or such words. That doesn't get done with a fountain pen.
