So turning 18 magically changes them? Of all the innane and mindless defenses. A birthday magically makes them psychologically independent of their parents. You are and idiot studying hard to be a mere moron.

A certain level of coercion is naturally present in any normal parent/offspring relationship, and though diminishes with age, does not completely go away. Of course, things change if the relationship is abnormal - an abusive parent eventually ends up generating strong hostility in their offspring as they grow older. Conversely a cold and distant parent could well end up with legally adult children whose decisions are strongly influenced by a lingering desire to gain the attention and affection from their parents they missed as children.

But in ALL cases, normal relationship or dysfunctional, to imply that turning 18 magically ends parental influence is ignorant beyond comprehension. To claim that coercion must be "proven" in a parent/offspring relationship is to completely ignore basic knowledge of psychology and family sociology. Coercion, or at least significant influence, is present by the very fact that there IS a parent/offspring relationship.

Reading the replies, its funny most have no problem with him fucking his daughter, as long as she was over 18. No one is defending the morality of a guy sleeping with his daughter. They are pointing out that since she's a legal adult, there isn't really a crime being committed here.

And southerners are perfectly free to sleep with their cousins.
