Colorado Proposition AA Marijuana Tax Passes

Im a poor person, but I dont mind a little taxation, especially if the taxes go to good programs like education and healthcare. An 1/8 oz of pot costs about $40 on the black market, depending where you are, thats far to much for the producers to be asking.I hope that with the legalization of pot the price will be regulated to cost less and be more fair to the user.

I wonder what type of liability insurance a commercial marijuana producer must carry? I wonder if the seller must carry insurance as well and how much this adds to legal marijuana costs. It's not just production and delivery when you do things legally. You get taxed on your assets also. There are so many of these legal costs that will ensure the black market remains. I can't help think it's by design.

The pot shop is going to pay most of the fees!
Of course right now you have stoners growing in attics and bedrooms selling to the dispensaries.

The big question to ask here is; Where are the libertarians?

Theoretically, excessive government regulation and oppressive taxation would bring out the libertarians a-howling. The problem is, for the most part, these libertarians are only libertarians in-so-far-as legalized marijuana is concerned. They have their legalized marijuana now, so now they can go back to being liberals, and embrace big government and taxation again. Hell, during the debates how many times did these faux-alleged libertarians slip and argue that the tax revenues could help balance the budget? WTF kind of libertarian argues for government control and taxation? A fake libertarian, that's what kind, which is basically most of the movement at this point.

Oh, there are a few legitimate libertarians, to be sure. But not in the numbers that comprise this current pothead conservative movement. The legitimate libertarian numbers are similar to those of Ron Paul's campaign in 1988, a statistical blip.

But I doubt these Trojan Horse libertarians will be released by their Democrat organizers just yet. They still have a lot of electoral work to do still, mainly in flanking GOP candidates from the right and siphoning off conservative votes, as we just saw in Virginia.

Yeah, just you wait. You're going to get the 3.2% version. May your chains rest lightly on your shoulders.

Libertarians are republicans who got bullied in school!
There aren't enough of the them to to dick.

True libertarians are just a crackpot group of people who get together in parlors and debate theories. They believe earnestly, but harbor no illusions their beliefs will ever be put into practice, let alone that they'll ever have any political power.

Their movement has been hijacked by marijuana-legalizing Democrats, who saw the old "Peace Love & Freedom" Democrats being slowly taken over by the neo-Fascist Democrats. The potheads saw an opportunity to take up a freedom position in libertarianism, where they sucker in a few conservatives who just follow ideology on its natural course, never stopping to think about it very much.

So today's libertarian movement is probably:

1% legitimate true believers
19% Democrat liberal infiltrators
80% Suckered-in conservatives

You flatter yourself
Libertarians are world of Warcraft dorks!
They aren't a pimple on the ass of the holy anti prohibition cause!
