Colleges Should Be More Than Just Vocational Schools

You are another with cognition problems. Not as serious as the other delusional sadsack, but substantial, nonetheless.

My advice? Relax and read what WAS written rather than read something into statements that were never made. Avoid the “in other words” bullshit that people try to use on this forum.

Yeah. Anyone that disagrees with has 'cognition problems'. Riiiiiiight.

Yeah, there’s something not quite right. Definitely, a disconnect with reality. Lots of delusional stuff. Even claims he taught himself how to read and write.

The repetitive nature reminds me of someone on the autism spectrum.

 I missed his post about being self-literate. Agreed on a disconnect from reality.

It could be autism. I'm not very knowledgeable about autistics. Since Sybil is delusional, it doesn't strike me as autism. LV's obsessive behavior is, IMHO, more in line with autism. It also fits more with bipolarism even though autism and bipolarism are different problems. Again, my knowledge of autism is very limited, mostly only reading about it.

I said hard sciences MAY need college.

...and usually do for those who want a job in their twenties. Sure people can study on their own over time, even gain experience, but the vast majority won't be able to learn as much in a four-year period in order to qualify for a job in their chosen field.

Who do you think would be able to obtain a job in welding more quickly: A person who goes to night classes or a person is self-taught?

That's VoTech, but becoming an engineer, a physicist, astronomer, etc is no different as far as schooling vs. self-teaching is concerned.

America’s higher education system was founded on the liberal arts and the widespread understanding that mass access to art, culture, language and science were essential if America was to thrive.

In 1947, a presidential commission bemoaned an education system where a student “may have gained technical or professional training” while being “only incidentally, if at all, made ready for performing his duties as a man, a parent and a citizen.”

What's your point dumbfuck?

So you think your sock has autism? Guess that means you do too!

You don't get to speak for everybody.
Who do you think would be able to obtain a job in welding more quickly: A person who goes to night classes or a person is self-taught?
Irrelevant. If you can weld, you get the job. If you can weld, you can even start a business providing welding services. I can weld. I didn't go to school to learn it.
That's VoTech,
No. That's welding.

This is actually true. You do not need to go to a college to learn physics. You do not need to go to a college to be an astronomer. You do not need to go to college to become an engineer.

Sybil wanna dance
Sybil loves him some Doc Dutch
Sybil is lonely

How often does your facility have finger painting classes, Sybil? Would you like them more often or less?

You do not need to go to a college to learn physics. You do not need to go to a college to be an astronomer. You do not need to go to college to become an engineer.

OK, to become a physicist, or an astronomer(which is just a specialized physicist), you need a good background in math, which means you really need to go to college... And graduate school. All the real physicists have college educations.

An engineer is technically a licensed individual. I often say I am an engineer, but technically I only have an engineering education. To get the license, you really need a college education.

It's not my fault you don't know what you said.

Yeah, it is. Totally your fault for being unable to comprehend them. Your fault for inserting what you want to read, not what was posted.

My posts are straightforward and simple for a reason. People on this forum don’t grasp complexity very well.

They are also consistent across the board. I know myself. I don’t lie or exaggerate. When I post, I post from experience or at least I try to investigate a topic before doing so. Also, rare on this forum.

If you have trouble with any of those, it’s in your court to fix it, Yak. Work on it.

I copied what you said. No wonder you're confused

OK, to become a physicist,
Learning physics does not require college. Science is not a college, university, degree, certification, license, or any other sanctification. Science is a set of falsifiable theories.
or an astronomer(which is just a specialized physicist),
Astronomy does not require college either. Same reason.
you need a good background in math,
Learning math can be done by anyone. You do not need to go to college to learn math.
which means you really need to go to college...
Nope. None of this requires any college at all. It just requires the will to learn it.
And graduate school.
Nope. No college is required at all.
All the real physicists have college educations.
True Scotsman fallacy. Physics is not a degree.
An engineer is technically a licensed individual.
An engineer is one who works with (and possibly designs) engines, transmission systems, and load systems.
I often say I am an engineer,
You are no engineer. You do not understand engines, transmission systems, or load systems.
but technically I only have an engineering education.
Blatant lie. You have already shown you don't have ANY engineering education.
To get the license, you really need a college education.
Not all engineers require a license. For those that do, just apply for the license and satisfy the requirements for it. No college required.

Yeah, it is.
It is not his fault that you don't know what you said.

Void argument fallacy.

Void argument fallacy. Appeal to complexity fallacy.

Which is to say you cut and paste from Google. You have no mind of your own and no training that's worth anything.
If you have trouble with any of those, it’s in your court to fix it, Yak. Work on it.
Negative proof fallacy. Burden fallacy. He does not have to prove a negative. YOU don't even know what you posted!

You obviously do not understand the difference between fact and opinion.
Buzzword fallacies. Semantics fallacy.
I said many college students got Pell Grants and did not have debt. Where is the opinion in that factual statement? Cite the opinion I gave.
Buzzword fallacy. Right in this post as well as the earlier one.

You are locked in another paradox. First you deny your own post, then you REPEAT IT HERE!
