I wonder what evidence he say and what convinced him or was he just being a good soldier following orders, is this to relieve him of his guilt in the matter?

Its time our friend Colon came clean and admitted that he was under instruction to make his famous speech. Nothing rang true. Body language showed he was lying, facial expression showed he was under pressure and his eyes showed he was fighting to keep his job.

C'mon Colon, fess up (as they so cutely say in America).

Powell is a traitor. He knew he was lying when he gave the speech and now he's trying to deflect blame. The sad part is you wingnuts believed him and Cheney when he said the WMD's were n-e-s-& west of Bagdad, aluminum tubes from Africa and we were attacked on 911 because they hate our freedom. Wolfowicz actually admitted later on that they "decided" on WMD's as the best route to sell the war to the American people...

I am sure his intention was to support his president. That was his mistake. He should have sacrificed himself there and then for the future obscenities he knew would happen.
I can empathise with the man. His was a lone voice in the top echelons of the bush regime. Takes one helluva man to publicly hold his conscience and possibly bring shame and humiliation to his paymasters.
