How can you separate Twain from Clemens? No one hardly knew Samuel Clemens, but they knew Mark Twain, and I bet they used the name in his introduction to Congress, but I could be wrong...
 
I'm a Colbert fan, and I think its bullshit that he testified in character.

I was able to finally catch his Military Special on Demand, though. Fucking awesome!!

It was, he went and did the farm work in character, it is how people identify with him, and I think it made it more effective, but it is just my opinion, not based on any fact whatsoever!

*sigh* How can you separate Steven Colbert from Steven Colbert? The FACT is, Samuel Clements testified before Congress, as an AUTHOR, not IN CHARACTER as Mark Twain! Colbert did a comedy bit... it was mildly funny, but a Congressional hearing is not the place for a comedian to do comedy bits! It is a place for SERIOUS discourse on SERIOUS matters being deliberated by Congress. What he did, made a complete JOKE of the process, and besmirched the integrity of Congress in about the most contemptible way possible.

But you know what? I am GLAD the Democrats did this... it's just one more illustration of how ridiculous this party is when it comes to leadership. I'm GLAD the American people got to witness you making a sham and mockery of such an important institution. I'm sure that any fence-sitting pragmatic independents out there, were NOT impressed by this, and will vote accordingly in November. So you pinheads go right on and cheer your little retard comedians, you're going to need something to laugh about in just over a month from now!

Congress is full of comedians doing their bits and the video records are full of them!

Congress people make a mockery of Congress, it isn't the hallow halls you wish it to be! Like someone pointed out, Cheney cursed there on a regular basis and always appeared in character as Darth Cheney?

Care to list anything? Or is this like the "1/3" thing, just a JPP Myth you've all conspired to create? The only thing I can think of that I've been wrong in predicting, was that McCain would beat Obama.
