Colbert addresses Congress

I think this is so appropriate under the Democratic leadership in Congress, to have this CLOWN appear before the United States CONGRESS, in character, and make a total MOCKERY of it! With all the serious problems we face, 10% unemployment, no jobs being created, debt continuing to be created, social security on the brink of insolvency, Iran making a total FOOL of the president before the UN, vowing to annihilate Israel when they get a nuke, which should be sometime this year... and our tax dollars are squandered on this?

And you wonder why the American people are so upset at the Democrats???
 
he was spot on....and quite funny

i laughed about the different nationalities line where he ended up getting a brazilian....

i am impressed he did that in front of congress

I read somewhere Elmo from Sesame Street addressed Congress. Don't know if it's true but, if so, perhaps Fred Flintstone would be a good person to promote environmental awareness. What say you?

I think it was undignified and unbecoming the United States Congress. It made a complete joke of the process of Congressional hearings to have this clown testify IN CHARACTER! Who ever heard of such nonsense? Yeah, he was funny, but Congress is not the place to be yucking it up at the taxpayers expense. Especially not in light of all the SERIOUS problems we are currently facing. It was a sham, a mockery, and a joke... just like the democrats who orchestrated this buffoonery!

Colbert is funny when tax money isn't being wasted and people aren't struggling to pay their bills and all the while his audience fails to do the job they are not only hired to do, but that would make a difference if they were able to do it effectively. Vote out establishment politicians and start anew. Yes, we're going to have to elect a couple of so-called "nuts" to shake the elite stranglehold. Do you think the elites would allow an outsider to enter race without some form of character assault?

They're not voting out establishment politicians. They're exclusively targeting moderates, finally purging the last sanity remaining in the party, the last influences of Lincoln. The Republican party, the party of God, the party of the Confederate States of America.

Well, not only did you have this FARCE going on up on Capitol Hill, in New York, we had The Great Obama standing up there like an idiot before the UN, calling for Iran to 'play nice' and show the world their intentions for nuclear power is pure, only to be followed by the Asshole in a Members Only Jacket, basically telling him to fuck off and they plan to nuke Israel ASAP!

It's as if these people don't even live in the same world as the rest of us!
