I read before that he wanted a job in the Whitehouse. I did not know if that was true. Today he says he did not. I don't know if that is true either. How would anyone know what was in his heart? But he just kept working for Daffy.

Cohen probably didn't want to be involved or have a job at the WH. He'd been working for Trump for 12 years and was probably afraid of the additional scrutiny the presidency would bring.
