CNN calls race for Reverend Warnock

Because people would think you come off as a racist.

Now... why would you call your fellow Christian a scumbag?

What a way to live. To not say what you want to say because you are afraid of being FALSELY accused of being a racist. The very thought of living that was is absurd to me. I say what I want to say and what I believe with no thought whatsoever of what someone else may think of it or any false accusations. Thats on THEM.....not me.

If you had said in Savannah that a black man would have been their Senator, they would have lynched you.

Warnock won Savannah like 60 to 30 percent. Savannah is one of the few blue counties. You find them in big cities, in college towns (where you find the educated), and on the coast.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy Another scumbag in Washington,.....YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY! Now thats REALLY something to celebrate! If you are a scumbag too that is.

I guess the mid-terms did not quite turn out like you were predicting. That is probably because Biden is doing such a spectacular job.:)

Expanded majority: Democrats will now control 51 seats to the GOP's 49. The victory will allow the party to dispense with the current power-sharing agreement with Republicans and make it easier to advance President Biden’s nominees.

Yes now if Manchin or Sinema decide to vote against a bill the senate can still pass the legislation.:)

Warnock's victory in the runoff is geographically similar to November, suggesting he won with the support of a similar coalition of voters, including Black Georgians, suburbanites and independents like a key minority of voters who split their ticket by choosing Warnock along with Republicans like Gov. Brian Kemp.

While I agree, I'm also noting how thin the margin is in all the Georgian elections.

Last I saw, with about 80% of the vote in Warnock is ahead by about 25,000 votes or so out of several million cast. He is likely to just barely win election.

In Georgia!!!! For this liberal to win in Georgia is awesome. One thing I’ll say about GA, which is fundamentally very conservative, they are not fans of TRUMPISM!

I don't think any Democratic senator ever wins in a southern state with more than 52 or 53 percent of the vote at most.

My theory is that if a Democrat runs strong in Georgia, they are likely to run very strong in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia, Wisconsin.

If Warnock leaves his seat in Georgia, the Republicans likely take it. At this point, I think it’s very important that he stays.

Warnock won by one hundred thousand votes with about a three percent lead in votes tallied, and Hersh Walker openly conceded well before my bedtime on the west coast.

That is not a landslide, but it is not barely squeaking by either. For a Democrat running for Senate in the deep south, that is a decisive victory.

I forgot to add the part "prior to 60's".

There are more years between now and the days of George Wallace, segregationist Democrat Presidential candidate, than between Pearl Harbor and the Spanish-American War. "Remember the Maine!"

Jus' sayin' for perspective. :)

Agreed, not a landslide. By today's election standards, I'll even agree that 3% isn't a squeaker, but it's still very close with about 49% of Georgians voting for the Texas nutjob. What's wrong with this picture?

Yep. Something's very, very wrong.

IMO, this behavior is fear-based. Both parties use fearmongering as a strategy (because it works, not because it's moral), but the Republicans are clearly a few steps ahead of the Democrats when it comes to weaponizing fear as an election tool.

Cultish behavior.

I don't think democracy or good governance is even in play for these people

1.8M cultists? Doubtful.

IMO, America has failed to properly educate her citizens about duty, honor, country. I blame getting rid of the draft. :)
