I honestly don't think there will ever be peace in that region no matter what we do. Both sides are guilty and both sides seem to be dead set on avenging the past rather than looking to their future.

I think we need to wash our hands of the entire region to any extent that we can.

Yeah, gotta defend yourself from innocent civilians that will blow themselves up in 5 years from now because Israel dropped them there but didn't pick them up. Shit out on MacGregor Range at Fort Bliss there are tons of unexploded cluster ordinance that Archeologists have to avoid all the time when they are doing their surveys. Cluster bombs are barbaric. But I really don't expect that you would have any sympathy for them damned Palestinian Ay-Rabs.

You all don't get it. Israel WANTS to kill women and children. They honestly believe that if they can inflict enough collateral damage that the people of Gaza will rebel. They don't care that they bombed kids getting out of school, they don't care if they kill civilians or if they kill civilians with cluster ordinance 10 or 20 years from now.

Yes, I agree that you are correct. There is this right wing pundit named Michael Goldfarb, who is all over cyberspace because he said that when Israel killed that Hamas guy's 9 kids, that had to give other Hamas members pause. He actually thought that this was morally acceptable, not even, that it was to be cheered!

And I can't help but wonder; wtf is wrong with the fucking arabs? Man, grow a pair people. I guess this could all been avoided if Hamas had not broken the truce and shot rockets into Israel. It also could have been avoided if Hamas would not use private homes, schools, churches as storage areas for weapons. It could have been avoided if Hamas said we want to live in peace and respect Israel's right to live, instead it chose to put a terrorist group in charge of their government.

My stance is on cluster bombs on civilian targets and the carnage it causes for years primarially on children.
