Vadim Mikerin — the main Russian overseeing Putin’s nuclear expansion inside the United States — was a director of Rosatom’s Tenex in Moscow, where he oversaw Rosatom’s nuclear collaboration with the United States under the Megatons to Megwatts program and its commercial uranium sales to other countries.

In 2010, Mikerin was dispatched to the U.S. on a work visa approved by the Obama administration to open Rosatom’s new American arm called Tenam.

Between 2009 and January 2012, Mikerin “did knowingly and willfully combine, conspire confederate and agree with other persons to obstruct, delay and affect commerce and the movement of an article and commodity (enriched uranium) in commerce by extortion,” his indictment states.

Depending on how Meuller wants to interpret the Comey firing -there is no obstruction there either.
if Mueller does charge that -it would be an impeachable offense and Trump has valid reasons (a legal defense) to fire.

This whole this was a figment of imagined "Russian collusion" and the best they are gonna find
are old business deals ( since dealing with Russia means dealing with oligarch) with perhaps improprieties

It's a witch hunt turned fishing exhibition. a waste of resources and Congressional time

Leaving for the moment, the nonsensical notion of purchasing something you already own, this still leaves the question of why *Muellers* FBI didn't alert the Obama administration to the Russian kickbacks, extortion threats and money laundering associated with the deal.

Do us both a favor. Read the Forbes article before you come back. Russia bought Canadian owned uranium that sits underground in Russia. Canada couldn't give Uranium One away if they wanted to. The value to Russia, was the U1's assets in Russia.

I agree that hanging an obstruction charge on Trump would be problematic since there's not even a legal consensus that firing Comey amounts to obstruction. Hell, democrats wanted to kill him last October lol. It's not like Comey wasn't incompetent so Trump was entirely justified in firing him, so I think Mueller would only go that route out of desperation.

Then there's Meeting Gate that only amounted to an attempt at collusion/oppo research, depending which party is engaged in it lol.

The only real hope the Anti-Trump zealots have is in some Russian involvement with Trump in his business dealings. Trump is a global entrepreneur so he has likely dealt with his Russian counterparts. But how does one even find a straight player in Russia to deal with? Practically, every Russian oligarch is tied to the Kremlin somehow.

It's all a collosal waste of time and tax payer money. D.C. at its finest.
