apple:

Compare Canada's death rate to the 45,000 people who die every year in the US due to a lack of medical coverage.

i would like to see the claim that canada supposedly has a better death rate....backed up with actual data

thanks

In the OP Conservative writes, “We see these issues arise in other countries with national health care. Patients in Britain and Canada often face long wait times — even in emergency rooms — to receive basic care that’s so accessible here in the U.S.

In msg #2 I wrote, “Compare Canada's death rate to the 45,000 people who die every year in the US due to a lack of medical coverage."

In msg #17 Yurt (you) wrote, “cite the figures for canada and the us death rate. i would be interested to see that.

In msg #18 I wrote, “Before we go all over the field let's be clear. My post was in response to Conservative saying countries with government health care have long waiting lists and I responded that deaths from having to wait were insignificant compared to the deaths in the US which does not have a government plan. The US death rate is 45,000/yr. If you are claiming countries with government plans have a correspondingly high death rate the onus is on you to cite.

Nice try, Yurt

In msg #45 you wrote, “bullshit. you made the claim, you back it up. i did not claim anything apple.

In msg #52 I wrote, “Here's my backup. http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/stor...alth-coverage/

Now, if you believe people are dying due to being on waiting lists in countries with government health plans let's see some backup.

……………………………..

My point was IF Conservative was suggesting long wait times led to a substantial number of deaths I disagreed. I cited the figures for the US.

You asked for figures for Canada and I wrote, “IF you are claiming countries with government plans have a correspondingly high death rate the onus is on you to cite.”

Obviously IF there are not a notable number of deaths occurring they will not be mentioned. It’s like asking someone to cite it never snowed in Vancouver, Canada last July. There will be no mention of it because it was not notable.

It appears you are completely devoid of logic. So, IF you or someone else believes government medical results in deaths it is your or their responsibility to do so. The onus is not on me to prove it didn’t happen.
