Christians need to show 'restraint'.....?

Christians were instructed to turn the other check and love their enemy, the Road is narrow...

Turning the other cheek doesn't mean allowing a group of zealots to kill you and your family. Jesus also said, "let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one." (Luke 22:36) Meaning Jesus was not anti-self defense. Ecclesiastes states that there is a time for peace, as well as a time for killing.

The mental gymnastics you liberals resort to in order to defend that stone-age, barbaric, chauvinistic religion known as Islam is truly astounding.

Turn the other cheek was a pretty clear anti-vengeance pro-nonviolence statement. If Jesus contradicts it elsewhere, he's being self-contradictory.

It's not contradictory at all. I practice it in my personal interactions with people. When someone offends me, I try to pray for them and hope they change their behavior rather than seeking vengeance. However, if someone were to attempt to take my life or harm my girlfriend, I would kill them. Again...there is a time for peace, and a time for killing.
