Christians face being wiped out from the Middle East within TEN YEARS

I'd say it's more correct that Rana is a non practicing Catholic. Just as I am a non practicing Methodist. I'm not really that into religion. I have no major disagreements with the Wesleyan faith I was raised in. I just find it boring. In fact I can think of no subject as remotely as boring as religion so I tend to be a bit naive about what could make people kill over pie in the sky bullshit but kill they do and have for several millennia.

I am going through a period of doubt, but so did Mother Teresa, Luther, Calvin and Pope Francis. Many prominent Christians have walked this walk. I was informed that I am forever a Catholic, unless I am excommunicated and that has not happened, yet. lol I was a very faithful Catholic for 40 years. the last 20 have been a search of what I believe.

The Catholics and Christians in Iraq were better off under Saddam.

Christian populations in the middle east:

If the Islamic state begins to overrun eastern Syria and Lebanon then there will be huge problems. The Christians in Egypt (by far the largest Christian population in the middle east) aren't facing any serious issues though because of the dictatorship there.

Well, there's some Christians that won't be upset when the local WalMart will not allow employees to say Merry Christmas!

If the UN wants to do anything worthwhile, they should realize that Islam is in conflict with the remainder of the world's religions, and develop a strategy of separation. Give them the ME, except for Israel, and prohibit anything more than 1% of the population in the Americas and Europe.

So should we also prohibit the Christian population in Egypt?

So you're just relying on HOPE, to explain away your lack of faith and throwing aside the beliefs of your parents and shaming them. :palm:

This kind of thing pleases people like Zappas, Jarod, Christie and Rana. Maybe then thy won't be offended by Christmas trees or snowflakes on their mochas. Of course Christie and Rana be drinking them through a burka but..........

Whatcha talking about, ILAmeriKKKa? I wouldn't insult my taste buds with Starbucks.

I'm still waiting to hear when and how the great Islamist invasion is going to hit America.

Nothing has been happening to coptic Christians in Egypt. Things have been happening to Egyptian Coptic Christian emigrants to Libya. Libya has no significant Coptic Christian presence of its own. I never even mentioned Libya.

I'm with SM. Get all non-Muslims out of the ME and isolate it with travel bans and embargoes. Once we become energy independent, this will really play out easily.

I'm all for discovering a power source that would allow us to completely become independent of oil from the ME and let us use our own oil for our plastics manufacturing.
The tears from all those now poor princes and princesses might just be enough to irrigate large sections of the desert.

Yeh I suppose all those Coptic churches, bookshops, schools and convents burnt down by themselves!!:palm:

No wonder the world is in a mess when you have Americans that think in such simplistic isolationist terms. :palm:
